LibraryThing

Hello. I love LibraryThing! I only added my 3 favorite books but I can't wait to go through all my books and add them!! What a neat site. I've always wanted all my books "cataloged" so when people borrow them I know who has them and also so I know what I have when I go buy new books. Plus it's just fun for someone like me who is totally anal and ocd, hee hee. I love goodreads.com because it's a list of books you've read and want to read but that's it. You can organize your books on that site by your own custom "bookshelves" but I haven't done that. I like seeing what my friends and family are reading and I usually add those books to my list. I can see doing that on librarything too. When I was in graduate school one whole class was where we had to design and "build" our own opac system, yuck!! Only because it was more programming than I care for. With a site like librarything, little libraries or ones with limited budgets could just use the site for their cataloging and not have to make their own. How awesome!!
